In a recent interview on Fox News‘ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” journalist Tom Rogan of the news website Washington Examiner disclosed that Navy submarines detected fast-moving unidentified objects underwater.
Rogan made the disclosure after host Tucker Carlson asked him about a recently released UFO video featuring a dark, spherical object flying off the coast of California near a Navy stealth ship. The craft appeared to have dived into the water and disappeared, with officers speaking in the video saying, “It splashed.”
The Department of Defense confirmed that the video was indeed taken by Navy personnel. Investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell, who leaked the video online mid-May, said that no wreckage was recovered when the Navy looked for the still-unidentified craft.
Rogan commented on the footage, saying that the UFO might be an intelligent-controlled machinery that was neither operated by the United States, China nor Russia – the three most advanced countries when it comes to military aviation.
“Relevant to this video, an area we will learn more about is the interaction between U.S. Navy submarines – nuclear ballistic submarines and attack submarines – picking up sonar contact of things moving at hundreds of knots under the water,” he said. “There is an undersea dimension to this, on top of what the pilots are seeing above water.”
Carlson expressed disbelief at the undersea objects traveling hundreds of knots underwater and asked Rogan whether there was evidence for that. Rogan responded that he heard accounts from very good sources and that the Navy itself has the data to prove it.
He also noted that a big chunk of this data was written off as “technical aberration” for over a period of decades because authorities did not want to admit that something unexplained was going on. Rogan’s interview came as the Pentagon and other intel agencies are due next month to present Congress a report on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) – the government’s preferred term for UFOs. Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said last March that the report would detail sightings that were “difficult to explain.”
Last December, The Debrief leaked the details of two classified intelligence reports about UAPs, one of which included a photograph of an unidentified “trans-medium” vehicle that could travel both through air and underwater.
The image, which was reportedly taken in 2019 from inside the cockpit of an F/A-18 fighter jet, featured a large, perfectly triangular vehicle with rounded edges and huge, spherical white lights in each corner.
Two officials who read the report disclosed that the photo was taken after the craft emerged from the sea and shot upward at a 90-degree angle off the eastern coast of the United States. Officials also said that the report primarily focused on unidentified trans-medium vehicles. The Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, a program under the Office of Naval Intelligence that investigates UFOs, was reportedly concerned that some UAPs might have originated from within the ocean.
Marc D’Antonio, an astronomer and the chief video and image analyst for the nonprofit Mutual UFO Network, claimed a few years ago that the Navy detected an underwater “fast mover” while he was sailing as a civilian on board one of its attack submarines. Navy vets who manned submarines later confirmed that sophisticated listening equipment did occasionally detect unexplained, very high-speed sonar targets.
A senior member of the intel community, who worked on underwater surveillance and reconnaissance programs, told The Debrief that there was validity to those claims.
“On occasion, there are detections made of non-cavitational, extremely fast-moving objects within the ocean,” said the unnamed official, who declined to elaborate further due to the high level of security classification in underwater reconnaissance.
