Vice President Mike Pence shares remarks about President Donald Trump’s Space Force

Following the recent announcement by President Donald Trump of a brand new “Space Force” to be headed up by the Department of Defense (DoD), Vice President Mike Pence, who’s rarely in the spotlight, offered up some inspiring words about how this newest arm of the United States military might contribute to the spread of lasting peace.

In a brief speech he gave on August 10, available for viewing at Brighteon.com, Vice President Pence reiterated how the Commander-in-Chief fully intends to do with the Space Force what he’s said he will do, fulfilling yet another promise just as he said he would.

“In his inaugural address to the nation, President Trump proclaimed that the United States stands, in his words, ‘at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space,'” Vice President Pence stated.

“And since Day One of our administration, this president has kept his promise: to restore America’s proud legacy of leadership in space.”

In President Trump’s own words, he promised that the Space Force will eventually become the sixth branch of the armed forces, and that it will be a “separate, but equal” part of the military.

“We need to address space as a developing war fighting domain, and a combatant command is certainly one thing we can establish,” added James “Mad Dog” Mattis during a press conference about the Space Force.

U.S. to maintain the same type of peace in space as it has on Earth

One of the mantras of American militarism is “peace through strength” – the idea that in order to maintain peace, force must be used to fight against that which is perceived as being anti-peace. And the military’s Space Force, under President Trump, will be no exception.

Explaining how the Space Force represents “the next great chapter in the history of our armed forces,” Vice President Pence promised that what’s up above will mirror what’s already down below, and that the world can expect to see America engage in the same types of peace endeavors in the great unknown that it has here on Earth.

“America will always seek peace, in space as on the earth,” Vice President Pence reiterated. “But history proves that peace only comes through strength. And in the realm of outer space, the United States Space Force will be that strength in the years ahead.”

VP Pence invokes biblical promises with America’s space endeavors

Coming roughly one year after President Trump signed legislation calling for American astronauts to be sent to Mars, Vice President Pence affirmed that America’s goal is to someday soon send military men and women up there as well. In stating this, he read portions of Psalm 139 from the Bible that speak of God guiding and protecting even those who perform their duties while not on the earth.

“I want to assure all of you who will be called to this enterprise, you can be confident that you will go with the prayers of millions of Americans who will claim on your behalf those ancient words,” Vice President Pence stated, adding select quoting words from the Old Testament.

“… that if you rise on the wings of the dawn, if you settle on the far side of the sea, even if you go up to the heavens, even there His hand will guide you, His right hand will hold you fast, and He will hold fast this great nation in the great beyond.”
