The Western globalist elite have drawn a line in the sand when it comes to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and they are making their respective citizens pay for a decision few, if any, of them had a hand in making.
Truth be told, while most Westerners sympathize with Ukraine, despite its history of gross corruption, including with Western leaders like Joe Biden and his scandalous son, Hunter Biden, they also know that their own countries need lots of attention especially when it comes to rebuilding fossil fuel infrastructure after seeing it dismantled for decades thanks to an insane over-reliance on unstable ‘green energy’ that is much more expensive.
But citizens’ needs and demands don’t matter to the Western global elite, and that includes Americans, as Biden is proving again.
Though he and his Democratic Party have spent trillions of dollars we don’t have since they took complete control over the government by stealing elections in 2020, it’s not enough: Biden is demanding billions more for Ukraine — dollars that will have to be printed because it’s not like they’re going to be based on anything real or tangible.
U.S. President Joe Biden will request $11.7 billion in emergency funding from Congress to provide lethal aid and budget support to Ukraine, and $22.4 billion for COVID-19 relief ahead of a potential fall case surge, the White House said on Friday.
The emergency funding request will also include $2 billion to address the impact of Russia’s war in Ukraine on U.S. energy supplies, Shalanda Young, director of the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), wrote in blog post.
The $47.1 billion request comes ahead of the conclusion of the 2022 fiscal year on Sept 30. Congress has not yet passed a 2023 funding bill, and Young said lawmakers would likely need to pass a stopgap funding measure allowing them more time to negotiate a more comprehensive fiscal package.
There is also billions in pork barrel spending. The regime also wants $3.9 billion to “fight against an outbreak of the monkeypox virus” — which is not a multibillion-dollar problem at the moment, and another $6.5 billion for “disaster relief,” according to Young.
“We have rallied the world to support the people of Ukraine as they defend their democracy and we cannot allow that support to Ukraine to run dry,” Young said.
As for Ukraine specifically, however, as Biden reversed Donald Trump’s immigration and border security executive policies and has turned our southwestern border into a turnstile for illegal immigrants and drug smugglers, he has authorized more tan $13 billion to defend Ukraine’s borders since he took office. And now he wants more.
To the immigration point, however, GOP lawmakers are incensed that more is being spent to protect the boundaries of other countries than our own.
“Here we are again,” Rep. Chip Roy (R-Ariz.) said on the House floor in early April, railing against more big spending. “We’re sitting here, at the precipice of government funding running out, and I hear all my colleagues talking about how great it is that we’re going to come up with some great big omnibus bill, and I’m hearing that from my colleagues on both sides of the aisle. Nobody in America wants us to plus up more spending, irresponsibly.
“Nobody in America wants us to say, ‘Oh, let’s pat ourselves on the back now’ because some of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle are saying ‘well, you know what, it’s time now to ban Russian oil.’ It’s not good enough to ban Russian oil if we’re not going to open up American oil and gas,” he said.
“All we’re gonna do is provide more money to Venezuela, more money to Saudi [Arabia], more money to Iran. But yet, that’s being touted as a victory. And some of my colleagues on [the Republican] side of the aisle are saying ‘okay good, oh, this is great.’ But my colleagues on the [Democratic] side of the aisle, they don’t want any oil. They don’t mind your gas being $4, $7, $10 a gallon. Don’t get played. But my [Republican colleagues] are about to get played,” he added.
Our government has become little more than a clown show.
